COOLING ALONGSIDE THE RACKS
In-Row Cooling
In-row units remove heat from warm equipment exhaust air through a heat exchanger, transferring it into a cooling-fluid circuit and returning cooled air to the space.
The ColdLogik CL80 range works with hot or cold aisle containment and can be considered alongside existing computer-room cooling.
- 300mm and 600mm wide options.
- Suitable for slab-floor layouts: a raised floor is not required.
- New installations and additional cooling in existing data centres.

Rear-Door Rack Cooling
A rear-door heat exchanger removes heat from the air leaving the rack and transfers it to a closed-loop water circuit.
Options include fan-assisted CL20 rear-door coolers and passive CL21 units. Passive performance depends on the airflow and available pressure from the installed IT equipment.

Cooling and containment, considered together
Planning a contained rack row? In-row cooling can work with hot or cold aisle containment. Rear-door solutions take a different approach and can be considered without aisle containment, depending on the complete design.

1. Tell us what you need
Share the site location, rack quantities, required timescale and any heat-load or existing-cooling information you have. An outline is enough to get started.
2. Review the options
We coordinate the appropriate technical discussion. Further measurements, a floor plan or a site survey may be needed before equipment can be selected.
3. Agree the scope
Equipment supply and any survey, installation, commissioning or ongoing-support requirements are confirmed as part of your project quotation.
Cooling capacity is not a one-size-fits-all figure. Equipment, water temperatures and available airflow must be assessed for the installation. Pipework, heat rejection and other site services are not automatically included.
Cooling project questions
Can cooling be added to an existing data centre?
Yes, retrofit options can be considered. In-row equipment may supplement existing cooling, while rear-door units require a review of rack compatibility and the cooling-water arrangement. Send us details of the existing installation.
Do these systems need a water connection?
The solutions shown transfer heat into a cooling-fluid circuit. A suitable facility connection and heat-rejection arrangement must be established during specification. Let us know whether cooling water is already available; select an outline enquiry even if you are not sure.
Do I need to know the exact cooling capacity?
No. Send the information you have, including rack quantities and current or planned equipment. Cooling duty and equipment selection need technical review before a firm specification is agreed.
