Description

P-Pack Energy Keeper — Automatic Desk Power Control

Switch selected desk equipment off when your main computer shuts down. The Energy Keeper uses a USB signal from the primary device to control a connected secondary power unit, helping reduce unnecessary standby use.

Plan your setup

Choose a USB port that switches off with your computer. Always-on or Sleep and Charge USB ports do not provide the shutdown signal this device needs. The included USB light tester helps check the port.

Key features

  • One 5A fused UK socket for the primary device.
  • USB-B sensing connection.
  • 3-pole power input and output.
  • Includes a 2m USB-A to USB-B lead and USB light tester.

Choose your setup

  1. Connect the Energy Keeper to a compatible mains supply lead.
  2. Connect the primary device to its UK socket and link a suitable USB port to the USB-B sensing port.
  3. Use an interconnecting lead to connect the secondary power unit, then connect the equipment you want switched off.
  4. Test shutdown behaviour using a USB port that powers down with the primary device.
